Bay Area Pros Take a First and a Second in Half Iron Racing

IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant

Meredith Kessler (San Francisco, Calif.) raced to her second victory in 2018 on Sunday at IRONMAN 70.3 Mont-Tremblant in Mont-Tremblant, Canada. In the 1.9k swim, 90k bike and 21.1k course, Kessler’s time of 4:14:35 helped her beat the rest of the pack to the finish line. Rachel McBride of Canada came in second, while Jodie Robertson (Melville, N.Y.) took home the bronze in 4:21:18.

 

IRONMAN 70.3 Coeur d’Alene

Coeur d’Alene, Idaho was the home of IRONMAN 70.3 Coeur d’Alene — a 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile bike, 13.1-mile run course — on Sunday. Haley Chura (Bozeman, Mont.; 4:21:42), Sarah Piampiano (San Francisco, Calif.; 4:23:39) and Linsey Corbin (Bend, Ore.; 4:25:13) raced to the podium in first, second and third place in the women’s pro race.
