August 23, 2017 PENTICTON, B.C. — Three Bay Area residents captured medals on the second day of racing at the ITU Multisport World Championships Festival. Age-group athletes competed in the Standard Distance Duathlon World Championships over a 10k run, 40k bike and 5k run course. Taking home a gold medal was Stephanie Pancoast of San Francisco. August 21, 2017 PENTICTON, B.C. — The first ITU Multisport World Championships Festival began this past Friday in Penticton, British Columbia. Multisport athletes from around the world will compete for world championship titles in various multisport events from August 18th through the 29th. Bay Area Native Wins Powerman Panama

January 29, 2017 Professional Triathlete Alistair Eeckman raced his way to a decisive win at Powerman Panama. The 22 year old Eeckman, born in San Francisco and raised in Berkeley, over-powered the field on the bike and maintained his lead on the run to finish the 10K run, 60K bike, 10K run course in a time of 2:45:55, slightly over ten minutes ahead of his closest competitor. January 28. 2017 El Sobrante – Due to the inclement weather in the Bay Area over the last couple of weeks and the condition of Alhambra Valley Road, the bike portion of the Du 3 Bears duathlon was shut down. As an alternative, athletes were able to compete on the courses 5 mile run race which took place on parts of Old San Pablo Dam road and across the San Pablo Dam Reservoir.
